The Conservancy takes great care in successfully conserving cemeteries and gravestones throughout the Philadelphia region. Services range from condition assessment, which includes surveying individual elements to plan for the care of the marker, to re-pointing and patching, which requires filling open mortar joints and patching broken stone.
In addition, the Conservancy offers cleaning to remove biological growth and other potentially damaging stains; resetting gravestones to their upright position; and stone strengthening and repair. We also offer volunteers training in proper monument cleaning.
