Fairmount Park Conservancy is creating a sustainable and supportive structure for our park systems by building and utilizing strong partnerships.

We believe that partnerships are key to uplifting Philadelphia’s parks and have partnered with hundreds of organizations over the years to maximize the impact of our work.

Core Partner

Philadelphia Parks & Recreation

Although we are an independent nonprofit organization and not a city agency, our most integral partnership is with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, with whom we work across the entire city-wide system of Philadelphia parks. As their nonprofit partner, we work together on several key projects and initiatives.

Core Partner

Neighborhood Park Friends Groups

There are over 200 neighborhood parks throughout Philadelphia. Among these there is a network of more than 140 volunteer Park Friends Groups that serve as community liaisons and park stewards. The Fairmount Park Conservancy works collaboratively with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation to support the network of neighborhood parks and the people who care for them. Together we are maintaining and transforming neighborhood green spaces into community assets; helping to move work forward and support the Park Friend Groups’ efforts as community stewards and park champions.
