Our Staff

Tara Rasheed joined the Fairmount Park Conservancy team in 2021. As the Senior Director of Capital Projects, Tara is responsible for Capital project scheduling, budget management, design, and construction as well as oversight of Conservation department projects.

Tara has a background in Historic Preservation, with a focus on public space in the built environment. Past experience includes construction management of historic structures, scope and maintenance planning, and support of City of Philadelphia assets.

Tara grew up in Philadelphia attending Central High School, Temple University, and earning a Masters of Science in Historic Preservation from Columbia University. Tara is energized by people and places, and loves to travel, explore, and share new experiences with her family. It’s hard to choose a favorite park in Philadelphia, but she loves the public use car closures on MLK Drive, and the peaceful woods of Wissahickon Park.
