Our Staff

Mark Wasserman joined the Fairmount Park Conservancy team in May 2023. As the Chief Financial Officer, Mark oversees all financial aspects of the Conservancy’s operations including financial reporting, external audit, tax compliance, payroll, billing, and accounts payable.

For the past 13 years, Mark was a non-profit CFO in the healthcare/senior living industry where he oversaw financial operations for an $80 million organization and a $40 million organization. Prior to transitioning to non-profit organization management, Mark held various operational and financial leadership roles for a publicly traded real estate investment trust that owned multifamily apartments, shopping centers, and regional malls. Early in his career, Mark spent five years in the Big Four public accounting space as an auditor and a litigation consultant.

Mark is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Business from the Pennsylvania State University. In his leisure time, Mark enjoys playing tennis and walking in various locales across the Philadelphia region.
