Eduardo joined the Fairmount Park Conservancy as Volunteer Manager in April 2022. Originally from Honduras, Mr. Dueñas has a bachelor’s degree in Eco-tourism and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management and Sustainable Development. After moving to the US, Eduardo worked at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education as the Manager of School Programs. Ed is passionate about environmental education, community organizing, and building partnerships in support of sustainable environments. In his work, Eduardo has worked with schools and organizations across Philadelphia, focusing on expanding access to nature for different communities and constituents of all backgrounds and ages. One of Ed’s favorite things to do is reconnect people with nature through creative and dynamic teaching approaches including Art, music, and learning about flora, fauna, food, water quality monitoring, and hands-on activities.
