Drew Rinaldi Subits joined the Fairmount Park Conservancy team in January 2021. In his role as Natural Lands Manager, he is responsible for planning, managing, restoring, and rehabilitating natural lands in Philadelphia’s parks. Drew also builds partnerships and hosts trainings with local community and workforce development organizations to help connect and engage residents in public land stewardship.

Drew has a Master’s Degree in Education from Temple University, is an ISA Certified Arborist, and an Accredited Organic Land Care Professional with the Northeast Organic Farmers Association (NOFA). Prior to joining the Conservancy, Drew began his career as a Social Studies teacher and athletics coach in various Philadelphia public, charter, and alternative school settings. He later served with PowerCorpsPHL, where he combined his passion for engaging young people with Philadelphia parks. He was instantly hooked and has been pursuing knowledge and best practices since, including founding his own family land care business and coordinating land stewardship at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education. He is thrilled to be working to create more equitable access to parks, as well as engaging with the public on the importance, health, and joy of interacting with and investing in these spaces.

Drew’s favorite Philly park is FDR Park.
