Chief Projects Officer
Allison Schapker joined the Fairmount Park Conservancy in June 2018. As Chief Projects Officer Allison works with partners to deliver dynamic and inspiring projects in our parks and recreation spaces. Trained as an architect and landscape architect, Allison brings over 15 years of experience working with mission-driven organizations to author a place-based vision that inspires investment and maximizes impact. Allison has worked on parks projects in Louisville, Baltimore, and London. Previously she led the planning and design of Lower Venice Island, a waterfront park and stormwater management site in Manayunk. Most recently she worked with Arizona State University on a transformation of the football stadium into a year-round Community Union.
She has a Masters in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati and is a member of the Urban Land Institute. Allison’s interest is to connect infrastructure, ecology and design with the people, programs, and finances that will sustain them. In her spare time, you might find her riding an old police horse named Garth along the Wissahickon.
