The trees are blooming and we are (finally!) seeing signs of spring in Philly’s park. So if you want to see as many of Philly’s cherry blossom trees in bloom as possible, then this special pop-up bike ride may be right up your alley.

On Monday, April 9, the Conservancy, in partnership with Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia, will host a free bike ride through Fairmount Park during the annual Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival! Philly Bike Tour Co. will lead the casual ride to see some of the cherry blossoms throughout the park. Folks from the Association for Public Art will also come along for the ride to offer some interesting tidbits about the sculptures seen on the ride.

The cherry blossom fun doesn’t end there. The bike ride’s final stop will be at the Shofuso Japanese House & Garden in West Fairmount Park, where there will be a pop-up Sake Garden presented by Parks on Tap. Enjoy beer, cocktails, and Asian fusion fare beneath the trees in Fairmount Park, or take a tour of Shofuso ($12 admission, free for members of Fairmount Park Conservancy, Association for Public Art, and Shofuso.)

This special pop-up bike ride is free, but please let us know if you’re joining us by registering here. This bike ride is BYOB (Bring Your Own Bike!).

In case of inclement weather we will reschedule the ride.
