Join We Walk PHL for a guided tour of the Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center and a walk through the Centennial District of West Fairmount Park. Learn about Shofuso, is a 17th century-style Japanese house with associated residential gardens that reflects the history of Japanese culture in Philadelphia, and learn more about the We Walk PHL program and the current work of Fairmount Park Conservancy in West Fairmount Park.

The Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia is a private nonprofit organization that has inspired mutual curiosity, understanding, and collaboration between Japan and Philadelphia for more than 30 years through art, business, and culture. They manage the Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center hosting over 40,000 visitors annually, produce the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival with over 30,000 attendees, present a US-Japan Business and Public Policy Series; and provide Japanese arts, business, and cultural educational programming for all ages.

We Walk PHL is a program in partnership between Fairmount Park Conservancy, the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation that offers free weekly walking groups at various public parks throughout the city. This program welcomes people of all ages and abilities looking to meet their neighbors and improve their physical and mental health.
