Join We Walk PHL and Indego for a spring morning walk, bike ride, and bird watching to celebrate the upcoming We Walk season and the recent installation of a new Indego bike station at the Gateway Plaza in FDR Park. Bikes, helmets, binoculars, swag and safety intro will be provided on site.

The ride will begin at the Gateway Plaza, the new expanded entrance and welcome mat for the 348-acre FDR Park opened by the Conservancy and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation in summer 2025. The project marked the completion of the first phase of implementation of the FDR Park Plan, and included new plazas formed in the shape of the park’s lakes, seating and flexible programming space, 81 new native trees and 25 shrubs, more than 12,000 perennial and grass/fern plugs, rain gardens, water misters to help people stay cool in the summer, and the new FDR Park sign.

We Walk PHL is a program in partnership between Fairmount Park Conservancy, the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation that offers free weekly walking groups at various public parks throughout the city. This program welcomes people of all ages and abilities looking to meet their neighbors and improve their physical and mental health.
