How to Join the Park Hopper Challenge This Fall

The Park Hopper Challenge is back! This free challenge is an invitation to get outside and experience the many parks across the city. The Park Hopper Challenge is led by We Walk PHL, a free program that connects people through weekly walking groups across Philadelphia, in partnership between Fairmount Park Conservancy and the Departments of Public Health and Parks & Recreation. Ready to hop into the details?

WHEN: The contest period is September 1 to October 31

WHO: Everyone is welcome to participate!

HOW: “Hop” to a minimum of two different park locations in Philadelphia. For example, you can join a We Walk PHL group at one of their weekly walks, attend an event at a public park, rec center or trail, or participate in a volunteer cleanup at a park. Check out the We Walk PHL fall schedule and Love Your Park events list for ideas, and scroll down for some examples of ways to complete the challenge!

To be eligible to win, you must:

1. Take a photo of yourself at a walk or park event 

2. Name/tag the park, walk, or event

3. Post pics to the We Walk PHL Facebook group and use all three hashtags: #WeWalkPHL26 #myphillypark #ParkHopper26

Participate in 10 or more walks/events to be eligible for the top prize category!

Multiple We Walk PHL Park Hopper Prizes ($450 in prizes)

  • Three winners: $100 gift card (Top prize category)
  • Two winners: $50 gift card 
  • Two winners: $25 gift cards

The designated Park Hopper Challenge team will determine prize winners from the qualifying post submissions.

Qualifying participants will be determined & contacted at the end of the contest period by the We Walk PHL admin team.

Prizes are given within 60 days. When applicable, participant winner information can be sent to WeWalkPHL@gmail.com.

Attending a park event or festival

Enjoying a park concert
