Amanda Daws Cohen joined the Fairmount Park Conservancy team in May 2022. In her role as Program Manager, Amanda is responsible for planning and implementing public programs through Fairmount Park and FDR Park.

Before joining the Conservancy, Amanda spent over a decade working in environmental education at various zoos and nature centers throughout the country. Most recently she worked as Manager of Public Programs at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education where she oversaw the center’s summer camp program as well as all large- and small-scale events and festivals. Amanda graduated from Elizabethtown College in 2009 with a BS in Environmental Science/Biology. In her spare time, she enjoys running (with Forbidden Drive in the Wissahickon and MLK Drive being her favorite spots), reading, making mosaics, and spending time in nature. She lives in Roxborough with her husband Dave, a Philadelphia school teacher, and their cat, HTC.
