Park Program Leader (Multiple Positions)

Park Program Leaders will work with both our Program Manager and our Director of Events and Engagement to help plan, assist, and execute public programs, activations, and special events. These contract positions will primarily work nights and weekends from April to December, averaging 5–10 hours per week with some fluctuation. Contract workers will not have taxes taken out of their pay on a biweekly basis but instead will be given a 1099 at the end of the year and will use that to file taxes.

Boating Program Leader (One Position)

The Boating Program Leader will work with our Program Manager and contracted boating partners to lead paddle boating programs at FDR Park in South Philadelphia. Additionally, the Boating Program Leader will be responsible for boat maintenance throughout the season (approximately 5 hours per month). This contract position will work 10-15 hours per month, April–November, between boating programs and boat maintenance. Boating programs have scheduled dates (see full position listing linked below); boat maintenance can be completed on your own schedule, as long as it falls within park hours. Contract workers will not have taxes taken out of their pay on a biweekly basis but instead will be given a 1099 at the end of the year and will use that to file taxes.

Website Copywriter: Request for Proposals

Fairmount Park Conservancy is seeking a professional copywriter to develop copy for a new FDR Park website launching this spring. This digital platform will serve as a comprehensive public resource, providing up-to-date information about the park, its amenities, and ongoing capital improvements. The copywriter’s role will be to synthesize, refine, and rewrite information into a clear, cohesive voice that reflects the park’s values and is accessible to a broad audience.
