In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Fairmount Park Conservancy, Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, and several Park Friends groups are organizing park clean-ups and invite residents to join them in service to Philadelphia’s community spaces.
Note: Due to extreme cold in the forecast, some events originally scheduled for Monday, January 20, have been rescheduled. Check with your event organizer for updates.
From Tacony Creek to Cobbs Creek, park projects all over the city offer an opportunity to give back, get outside, and unite with neighbors to make a difference.
How to get involved:
- Join Fairmount Park Conservancy and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation staff for a family-friendly MLK Day of Service in West Fairmount Park on Saturday, January 25, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Please note the new date for this event, which was rescheduled due to weather.) Register here.
