In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 19, Fairmount Park Conservancy and partners are organizing park clean-ups and invite residents to join them in service to Philadelphia’s community spaces.
From FDR Park to Cobbs Creek, park projects all over the city offer an opportunity to give back, get outside, and unite with neighbors to make a difference.
Opportunities to get involved:
- Walnut St & S 63rd St at Cobbs Creek Park from 10 AM to 12 PM. Register here.
- Parkside Evans Playground in West Fairmount Park from 9 AM to 12 PM. Register here.
- Discovery Center in East Fairmount Park from 9 AM to 11 AM. (Note: Registration is full)
- Meadow Lake in FDR Park from 9 AM to 12 PM. (Note: Registration is full)
Did you know? Park Friends groups stay busy all year caring for their local park and making community connections. There are more than 140 Park Friends groups in Philadelphia.
