Centennial Arboretum

The Centennial Arboretum contains specimen trees and shrubs from Asia, Europe, and North America. Many were planted in 1876 for the American Centennial Exposition. Nearby is the traditional-style Shofuso Japanese House and Garden brought to Philadelphia in 1957.

Carousel House is dedicated to providing socialization, recreational and educational services to persons with disabilities who reside throughout the Philadelphia area. The 6.4 acre indoor and outdoor complex includes a picnic area, garden, playground, and fitness track.

The Horticulture Center, a modern exhibition hall and greenhouse, is located in beautiful Fairmount Park. The Center was built in 1979 and sits on the site of the former Horticultural Hall, and the 1876 Centennial Exposition building. The grounds and greenhouses are open daily and the venue can host private parties from 100 to 1,200 guests. The Horticulture Center can be reached at 215.685.0096.
