Learn about the land surrounding Cobbs Creek Environmental Center.
Join Fairmount Park Conservancy’s Natural Lands team and Cobbs Creek Environmental Center on Saturday, October from 10 AM-12 PM for a guided nature hike along the Cobbs Creek Trail.
As we hike the flat, gravel trail that runs along the creek, we’ll explore the natural landscape and talk about the plants and animals that call it home. Learn about the nearby floodplain ecosystem and how some recent Conservancy-led plantings are helping with forest regeneration in the area. Take in the changing fall colors, connect with others, and discover the health and wellness benefits of taking a walk through the park before ending with a tour of the Cobbs Creek Environmental Center, a popular and newly renovated community hub with gardens and interactive displays.
Th Cobbs Creek Community Environmental Education Center was established with a mission to provide environmental and civic education programs to underserved communities.
