Join the Fairmount Park Conservancy team for a volunteer workday at FDR Park’s Anna C. Verna Playground!

Volunteers will do important garden maintenance at the Anna C. Verna Playground. These efforts will help to keep the playground safe for everyone, support local wildlife, and strengthen the park’s natural ecosystem.

This is a great opportunity to get outdoors, work alongside your colleagues, and make a lasting impact on one of Philadelphia’s most unique natural spaces. No prior experience is necessary—we’ll provide the tools, snacks, materials, and guidance you need.

Thank you for helping us grow a healthier and more resilient FDR Park!

Parking & Meeting Location:
Please use the Anna C. Verna Playground parking lot. Look for our green tent when you arrive.

Volunteers can choose from several projects, including:

  • Removing invasive species
