Join us for a volunteer workday at the Lemon Hill gateway in East Fairmount Park, in celebration of the annual Philly Spring Cleanup.

Date

Saturday, April 11

Time

9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Location

Lemon Hill

Join Fairmount Park Conservancy for a volunteer workday at the Lemon Hill gateway in East Fairmount Park on Saturday, April 11, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, in partnership with the Office of Clean & Green, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, PHS, and Lemon Hill Neighbors Association for the Philly Spring Cleanup.

Lemon Hill is the historic birthplace of Fairmount Park, and this summer, it will make history again as the host of Philadelphia’s FIFA Fan Festival.

With Fairmount Park on the world stage this summer, Fairmount Park Conservancy and Comcast NBCUniversal are teaming up with local volunteers this spring to host a series of cleanups at the park’s entryway near Boathouse Row. Volunteers will help to remove invasive plants, add flowering shrubs, and prepare this space to welcome thousands of visitors from all over the world.

Volunteer projects include:
  • Removing invasive species (primary project)
  • Trash pick-up
  • Shrub planting

Fairmount Park Conservancy’s expert staff will provide tools, gloves, and guidance; no experience needed. Just bring your enthusiasm, Philly pride, and love for parks!

This event is part of the Lemon Hill Spring Cleanup Series presented by Comcast NBCUniversal.
