Wayne joined the Fairmount Park Conservancy in May 2023 in his role as Facilities Technician. We knew Wayne would be a great fit with his background in Environmental stewardship, construction and volunteerism.
Before joining the conservancy Wayne has spent over 6,000 hours volunteering, which has earned him The Obama’s Administration President’s Volunteer Service Award. Before that he served with the environmental stewardship program, PowerCorpsPHL as an AmeriCorps member and later became staff/mentor to opportunity youth with PowerCorps Camden in New Jersey. Following that, Wayne served through AmeriCorps with Habitat for Humanity as the construction repair crew leader. Thereafter he worked as staff managing a similar repair program with Habitat for Humanity.
Before joining The Conservancy Wayne graduated in 2018 with his associates in Business Administration and began independent contracting, taking on full gut and rehabs among other residential general contracting. In his spare time he enjoys obstacle course racing, biking, trips to the beach, fashion, dinning out, spending time with his toddler son and is a big fan of the arts. Wayne looks forward to meeting partners, volunteers and bringing his passion for construction together with park-land stewardship to the conservancy.
