Kelly Altrichter officially joined the Fairmount Park Conservancy team in 2014 after having volunteered with the Historic Preservation staff since 2008. Prior to coming to the Conservancy, Kelly worked as an interior designer and in sales as an architectural rep. She also devoted time to working with the United States Green Building Council and chaired the Emerging Professionals Board for the local chapter of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council. With them she helped nonprofits meet their mission financially by implementing sustainable practices within their organization.
Originally from rural Lancaster County, Kelly explored many historic sites with her family. Kelly received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kutztown University and a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Kelly stays active in the park hiking, biking, and rowing on the Schuylkill. She creates new and restores old stained glass pieces and enjoys exploring the odd and off the beaten path.
