Associate Director of Corporate Relations
Brian Parkhill is an experienced relationship manager and communications strategist who has been enjoying the Philadelphia park system for his entire life… creek-walking at Pennypack, sledding at Burholme, hiking in the Wissahickon, and running his first Broad Street Run a long, long time ago, among the first batch of runners to cross a newly relocated finish line in FDR Park.
Brian has directed marketing, fundraising, and sales efforts for a wide range of organizations and businesses. He joins the Conservancy after having stewarded corporate partnerships for the Museum of the American Revolution, a treasure among many treasures in Philadelphia’s Old City and Independence National Park. Prior to entering Philadelphia’s nonprofit community, Brian studied philosophy at Penn State and Villanova and subsequently embarked on a storied career as an antiquarian bookseller. He has also served as Sales Director for a software firm specializing in data center and business automation. Brian helped to raise two beautiful children while living in the Devil’s Pocket neighborhood of Southwest Center City along the Schuylkill Banks. He is a sincere champion for urban living, for the indisputable world classiness of Philadelphia and its continued growth, and for efforts that support healthy neighborhoods and equitable community investment.
