Join Judith Robinson, Researcher & Docent at Historic Church of the Advocate and Director  Strawberry Mansion Civic Association and Jeff Duncan, Curator &  Site Manager of Woodford Mansion, for a talk and tour shedding light on the often overlooked history of enslavement at Woodford and other colonial-era Philadelphia homes. “Step in Their Shoes” invites the audience to imagine the everyday experiences from dawn to dusk of the enslaved and indentured domestic servants. Judith and Jeff will also share their process of researching tax records, wills, newspaper ads, and other primary sources to uncover details of this hidden past. They will share some fascinating recently discovered evidence of the enslaved people who worked at Woodford Mansion. After the talk and tour, there will be an audience Q&A.
