Ever wonder about that big white house at 33rd and Girard Avenue? It’s called the Hatfield House and Fairmount Park Conservancy has been making physical improvements and working on public programs and events centered around art, creativity, and community since 2017.
Join us for a tour of the house followed by a talk with artist Victor Bunn about his portrait of Martin Luther King, Jr. currently on display at the Hatfield House.
Victor Bunn is a graphic artist based in Strawberry Mansion. Victor pursued visual art from a young age, taking summer courses at Moore College of Art and Design as a sixth grader, and later attending Murrell Dobbins Vocational High School and University of the Arts, focusing on animation and digital illustration. Since graduating, Victor has worked in animation, graphic design, illustration, and mobile game design. His work has been featured in the Philadelphia Daily News, the Philadelphia Weekly, the Philadelphia Tribune, and the Google Play store. The one constant in Victor’s career is that he is always working on something and striving for the next plateau.
