Join AeLin Compton, Community Initiatives Specialist at Philadelpia Parks & Recreation for a guided walk along the Boxers’ Trail during which you will learn to identify plants and trees you see along the way; from the common ones to those that you can eat, and some in between! You’ll leave this experience with some helpful basics in plant identification.
Enjoy a slow paced walk that will be about a mile long. During the walk you’ll learn about a variety of sun-loving wetland plants, and shade-tolerant forest species.
The meeting location will be near the intersection of Randolph and Reservoir Dr (
map link). Please note that Diamond Drive is currently closed for PWD street work. The trailhead can still be accessed by entering the park at Reservoir Dr to the south, or Dauphin to the north; and parking is available on Randolph Dr.
