Migrate to Discovery and Adventure –  Saturday March 18, 2017.  10AM to 2PM. Rain or shine. Join us for a fun-filled opportunity to explore the future site of the Discovery Center, on the banks of the East Park Reservoir in Strawberry Mansion. We’ll gather at 33rd and Oxford, with neighbors, friends, food and music, an Outward Bound climbing wall and birdwatching hikes up to the Reservoir. The Free Library will be launching its birding backpack program at this event. If you are lucky, you will see some early-birds returning from their winter down south.  This event is a collaboration of The Discovery Center, Strawberry Mansion CDC, Fairmount Park Conservancy, The Free Library, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and the Knight Foundation.
