Latino Outdoors and Fairmount Park Conservancy invite Philadelphia’s Latino community to an evening of FREE boating (kayaks and rowboats) at FDR Park! Please RSVP to secure your spot and arrive anytime between 5:30-8 pm for boating and 7-9 pm to enjoy complimentary food and music.

This event welcomes all from the Latino community and their allies. Spanish speakers will be available to provide translation.

Latino Outdoors y Fairmount Park Conservancy invitan a la comunidad latina de Philadelphia para una noche de paseo en barco gratis (kayak y bote de remos) en el Parque de FDR! Por favor regístrese para asegurar su lugar y llegar entre las 5:30-8 pm para el paseo en barco y entre las 7-9pm para alimentos gratuitos y música.

Este evento es abierto a todes de la comunidad latina y nuestres aliades. Gente hispanohablante estará disponible para dar traducciones.

BOATING: 5:30-8 PM
Families and people of all ages and experiences are welcome to participate in the evening of boating! Kayaks are recommended for adults and children ages 12 and up. Rowboats are recommended for families with younger children.

On the dock, an instructor will introduce the basics of water safety, best use of equipment, and paddling technique. Bilingual staff will be available to provide translation.

Once you are comfortable on the water, participants will have 30-40 minutes to explore the park’s three connected bodies of water: Pattison Lagoon, Edgewood Lake, and Hollander Creek.

Familias y gente de todas edades pueden participar en esta noche de paseo en barco! Los Kayaks son recomendados para adultos y niños de 12 años o más de edad. Los botes de ramo son recomendados para familias con niños más pequeños.

En el muelle, un instructor va a introducir los básicos de seguridad del agua, el propio uso del equipo y técnica de remo. Personal bilingüe va a estar disponible para dar traducciones.

Después que estén cómodes en el agua, les participantes van a tener 30-40 minutos para explorar los tres cuerpos de agua que están conectados en el parque: Pattison Lagoon, Edgewood Lake y Hollander Creek.

FOOD & MUSIC: 7-9 PM
Before or after you get out on the water, join us in the boathouse to enjoy free food and meet new friends! Water and soda will be available, but feel free to bring other beverages of your choice.

Después o antes que usted salga al agua, reúnarse con nosotros en el cobertizo para botes para disfrutar de la comida gratis y conocer a nueves amigues! Agua y refrescos también estarán disponibles pero usted puede traer otras bebidas de tu elección.

PLEASE NOTE: While this event is inclusive of allies, our primary intention is to grow and foster community and sense of belonging within latinx identifying groups so that they feel safe and represented in outdoor recreation.
