Antipodes is free and open to the public Thursday through Sunday!
Working in collaboration with Fairmount Park Conservancy and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, Philadelphia Contemporary and artist Jane Irish will transform the historic Lemon Hill mansion, filling it with a floor-to-ceiling installation of paintings and ceramics. Irish’s installation will transform two floors of the historic Lemon Hill mansion in Fairmount Park as part of the first major art project in the more than 200-year history of the estate. Irish’s installation Antipodes will feature floor-to-ceiling installations of paintings and ceramics that provide a journey through time, from colonialism to anti-Vietnam War activism in Philadelphia.
