“Flavors of the Season” at the Historic Houses in Fairmount Park
Bring your appetite and culinary curiosity to the historic houses as we celebrate some of Philadelphia’s best tastes for the holidays. Enjoy free samples and food demonstrations while taking in the beauty of the houses decorated for the holidays.
Participating historic houses include: Cedar Grove, Historic Strawberry Mansion, Laurel Hill Mansion, Lemon Hill Mansion, Mount Pleasant, and Woodford Mansion. All houses are located within East and West Fairmount Park in Philadelphia.
Lemon Hill: Cosmic Cafe & Catering and Frecon Farms Market & Bakery. Plus, a special sampling of Frecon hard cider courtesy of The Schuylkill CiderHouse on Boathouse Row. PLUS! Purposeful Pops presents its ‘Tis the season flavors, including: pumpkin cheesecake, cranapple, eggnog, gingerbread spice, spiced hot chocolate and more! Look out for the “Icicle Tricycle” offering cool desserts in the dining room!
Mount Pleasant: City Tavern, Philadelphia’s famous colonial cuisine destination, with an all-day meet & greet with Chef Walter Staib, star of PBS’ “A Taste of History“
Laurel Hill: a festive spread from Liberty Kitchen. Plus, Federal Donuts– the sweetest and tastiest treats in town!
Woodford: Feast Your Eyes Catering offering merry morsels from their menu and Manatawny Still Works sharing spirits of the season.
