Join us for a cleanup near the Parkside Trail in West Fairmount Park. We’ll focus on the woods along Parkside Avenue above 52nd Street.

This will be our third visit to the Parkside Trail. We’ve made a huge difference already, and we want to go back one more time to get the trash in the woods along Parkside Avenue. This trail connects the Parkside neighborhood to the Parkside Evans Rec Center, Philly Pumptrack, the Crossbow Trail, and the picnic areas in West Park.

Meet at the trail entrance on Parkside Ave, near W Columbia Ave. All cleanup supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own gloves. Please bring a mask.

What to Wear & Bring
-Please wear closed-toe shoes
-Please bring a reusable water bottle to keep yourself hydrated. (We will provide jugs of water so you can refill.)
-We recommend wearing long pants as this area is overgrown and there are some hazards.

Meet-Up Spot, Parking, Travel
-Meet at the trail entrance on Parkside Avenue, near W Columbia Ave.
-Parking is available along Parkside Avenue. There is also a large lot just past the rec center near the basketball courts.
-Buses 40 and 52 stop at 52nd & Columbia as well as Jefferson & Lindenwood, which are 1-2 blocks away.
-There are bike lanes along Parkside Avenue. There are no official bike racks here, but we can find places to lock up your bike.

-Please bring a mask (we will have extras available)
-We will provide gloves and all the necessary tools, but feel free to bring your own
-We will provide bug spray, sunblock, snacks, and jug of water
