CELEBRATE SOLSTICE: Sounds of Summer with Make Music Philly

As of 6/21: Due to rain and wind, the concert is being relocated to the FDR Park Boathouse.

Join us for live music performances to welcome the start of summer!

Date

Wednesday, June 21, 2023

Time

6:00pm - 9:00pm

Location

FDR Park Boathouse
1500 Pattison Avenue
Philadelphia, PA 19145

Built in 1914, the Olmstead Overlook gazebo is one of the most iconic structures in FDR Park, offering views of Edgewood Lake and the surrounding landscape. Its blue tile dome creates fantastic acoustics. With its acoustics and commanding presence, this is a great spot to welcome the start of summer with some soulful sounds.

This event is in collaboration with Make Music PHL and is part of Make Music Day. Occurring on June 21 (the solstice and longest day of the year), Make Music Day is an annual event that features live, free musical performances on streets, sidewalks, and parks across the city. Check out their website for other events.
