North 33rd Street & Dauphin Drive
Philadelphia PA 19132

Join Fairmount Park Conservancy and Tula Yoga for a yoga class catered towards seniors on select Sundays from 9–9:45 AM.

Individuals of all ages can benefit from yoga; however, for older adults, the low-impact exercise is really beneficial.

Tula’s instructors will thoughtfully structure these classes to minimize frequent transitions between the floor and standing positions, making movement easier and more comfortable. Standing poses will be grouped together, creating a smooth and gentle flow. This class is perfect for those looking to improve flexibility, balance, and relaxation in a supportive and serene outdoor setting.

No prior yoga experience is necessary—just bring your mat and enjoy the benefits of mindful movement in nature! Classes will be led by a rotation of Tula Yoga instructors and will take place near the Fairmount Park Tennis Courts at the intersection of 33rd and Dauphin Drive (across the street from the Boxers’ Trail Gateway and Woodford Mansion).

TICKETS: Free**, donations appreciated. Registration required.

**We are proud to be able to offer these events for free. However, there is limited capacity for all of our events. Last-minute cancellations and no-shows can take away tickets from others. We ask that you be mindful of this and please only register if you plan to attend.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:

  • Please note, classes take place outside of the tennis courts in a flat grassy area.
  • Bring your own yoga mat
  • We recommend you bring something to place under your yoga mat such as a towel to keep it protected from “the elements” (grassy surface, sometimes damp after recent rain).
  • Appropriate for adults and mature adolescents (minors must be ticketed and accompanied by a guardian).
  • Please dress according to weather conditions.
  • Bring your water (drinking water is not available in the park).
  • Unfortunately, there are no bathrooms nearby so please plan accordingly.
  • Bring sunscreen and bug spray.
  • Important pre-event information and any event updates are sent out via email. Please make sure the email address entered is correct and that you check it before coming out to the event.
  • Space is limited in each class and registration is required. If you cannot attend an event, please show courtesy to fellow parkgoers and try to cancel your registration with advance notice so that someone else can participate.

PARKING/GETTING THERE:
There is free parking along Dauphin Drive, Reservoir Drive, and 33rd Street. As always, never leave valuables in your car! If traveling by public transit, the nearest station is at Ridge Ave and Dauphin Street – about a 2-3 minute walk. The nearest Indego bike station is at 33rd and Dauphin.
