Friday Flicks at the Fountain: Parkside Community Movie Nights

Join us for a series of free movie nights in the park to celebrate the fall season!

Grab a blanket, meet up with friends and family, and join us for an evening under the stars at our Parkside community movie nights!

We’ll celebrate the start of the season with some old and new fall favorites. Each date will start with an interactive family-friendly activity and/or performance related to the movie playing that night (please continue to check back for full details).

Movies will take place at the John Welsh Memorial Fountain across the street from the Please Touch Museum.

FALL 2024 MOVIE NIGHT SCHEDULE
Pre-movie activity will start at 6:00 PM followed by the movie at 6:45 PM

OCTOBER 4: HOCUS POCUS (PG)

Pre-movie activity: Interactive, family-friendly magic show with Jake Strong Magic
At the age of thirteen, Jake got his first magic lesson and since then he has been obsessed with honing his craft and performing for people wherever the venue. His youthful approach to performing makes his show incredibly accessible and never makes a show feel stale. OCTOBER 11: ADDAMS FAMILY, 2019 version
(PG)

Pre-movie activity: Get in the Halloween spirit with all-ages storytimes, complete with movement activities and songs, provided by the Free Library of Philadelphia. After the storytime, there will be a holiday-themed craft activity before the movie starts.


OCTOBER 18: COCO
(PG)

Pre-movie activity: Magdaliz and Trio Crisol performance

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:

  • Movies will take place at the John Welsh Memorial Fountain, across the street from the Please Touch Museum.
  • Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and/or lawn chairs.
  • The pre-movie night activities will start at 6:00 PM followed by the movie at 6:45 PM. Feel free to come for one or both!
  • There will be a bathroom (porta-potty) available nearby.
  • Minors should be accompanied by an adult.
  • Feel free to bring your own food and drink.
  • Bring water and bug spray.


PARKING:
There is plenty of free parking available nearby. As always, NEVER leave valuables in your car!
