Join Fairmount Park Conservancy and the Strawberry Mansion CDC for a free chair yoga program at The Yard on Coltrane Street!

Chair yoga allows for stretching and increasing flexibility while seated, making it suitable for different ages and ranges of mobility. Folding chairs will be set up in The Yard, a new outdoor public space managed by the Strawberry Mansion CDC and located at the neighborhood edge of East Fairmount Park behind the famous John Coltrane House.

This programming is supported by Reimagining the Civic Commons, a collaboration of The JPB Foundation, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, The Kresge Foundation, and local partners.

TICKET PRICE: Free*, donations appreciated. Registration is required.

*We are proud to be able to offer these events for free. However, there is limited capacity for the event. Last-minute cancellations and no-shows can take away tickets from others. We ask that you be mindful of this and please only register if you plan to attend.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:

• Folding chairs will be provided and will be placed on a flat gravel/turf surface.
• Appropriate for adults and mature adolescents (minors must be ticketed and accompanied by a guardian).
• This event is held entirely outside so please dress according to weather conditions.
• Bring your water (drinking water is not available in the park).
• There is a bathroom (porta-potty) nearby.
• Bring sunscreen and bug spray.
• Space is limited in each program and registration is required. If you cannot attend an event, please show courtesy to fellow parkgoers and try to cancel your registration with advance notice so that someone else can participate.
• Important pre-event information and any event updates are sent out via email. Please make sure the email address entered is correct and that you check it before coming out to the event.

PARKING: Street parking is available in the neighborhood, and there is additional parking at the Strawberry Green Driving Range and the Discovery Center across 33rd St. As always, never leave valuables in your car!
